"So take a couple extra minutes to source out local businesses who have reinvented themselves or pivoted." IN OTHER NEWS: Mr Hamilton added the business chamber was also working on a support local program with Maitland City Council. Last month, Maitland City Council approved a motion to reinstate the provision of financial assistance for struggling businesses and residents impacted by COVID-19. In April 2020, response to the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, Maitland Council passed a number of resolutions endorsing actions in relation to debt recovery, rental relief and suspension of interest on outstanding rates as well as supporting the food assistance network.
