Wests Tigers support local sponsor at Charity Art Exhibition - Wests Tigers

Wests Tigers players Shawn Blore and Tommy Talua were on hand on Wednesday night at Organica Concord Café to support an important local charity event.

‘Australiana and the Local Community’ was an art exhibition showcasing works from participants of the Let’s Get Going program for adults with varied abilities.

The event, hosted by Channel Nine presenter Danika Mason and Wellbeing mentor, Todd Liubinskas, was a raging success.

The Let’s Get Going art show was in honour of the late Mike Bailey OAM, who was a fierce supporter of Wests Tigers and served as Chairman and Director of the club.

Aboriginal elder Aunty Kathy Dodd Farrawell was also on hand, performing a traditional smoking ceremony to kick start Canada Bay Council’s NAIDOC Week celebrations.

Owner of Organica, Costa John Meitanis, says it’s important to be closely aligned with initiatives such as Let’s Get Going.

“We have a long-lasting relationship with the Inner West community.

It’s important for us to support local causes like the Let’s Get Going local charity event, and the Wests Tigers, to further demonstrate the care we have for our area."
