If you live in rural, regional or remote Australia what's the state of play with your local newspaper?
These often tiny newspapers were published daily, weekly or monthly depending on demand, however their role in local life has changed forever with the rise of online media content, and new advertising models that don't support the old way of selling space on a physical page.
The Public Interest Journalism Initiative is a philanthropically funded, non-profit company whose reason for being is to gather data in this rapidly changing part of our lives.
They've just made a submission to the Federal Parliament Committee taking public input on this topic until Friday this week.
