Timeline of how the search unfolded
October 16 - The family goes on a camping trip at the Quobba Blowholes, a popular camping spot north of Carnarvon. Cleo wakes her mother up about 1-1:30am on that Saturday morning to ask for some water. Cleo's mum Ellie Smith wakes up about 6am and finds Cleo has gone. Police and other emergency services start a widespread search in the local area, including on horseback.
October 19 - Search is suspended due to bad weather, but is able to resume later that day.
October 20 - Mother Ellie and her partner Jake make a public plea for the safe return of Cleo. They said they awoke to find the zip open and Cleo's sleeping bag gone.
October 21 - WA Police say more than 100 oficers are dedicated to the search. WA Premier Mark McGowan announces the government will offer a $1 milion reward for information that leads to her rescue
October 22 - WA police urge people and businesses with dashcams to search their footage within a 1,000km radius of where she went missing. Say they are treating the disappearance as an abduction.
October 24 - Search continues, taking in parents' home. Police stress they don't believe the parents are involved in the disappearance.
October 26 - Cleo's parents offer fresh public plea for information as the search enters its 11th day.
October 27 - The $1 million reward brings a flurry of search activity to the Blowholes campsite, including bounty hunters
October 29 - Carnarvon community holds a vigil for Cleo, praying for her safe return
November 1 - Ellie Smith speaks again, saying she is finding it more difficult to cope as the days go by.
November 3 - At 1am, police raid a house in Carnarvon where they find Cleo in one of the rooms. She is reunited with her parents. A Carnarvon man is arrested and being questioned by police.
