Premier Daniel Andrews says Victoria has recorded seven COVID-related deaths and 1,838 new local cases.
“Sadly, seven people with COVID-19 have passed away,” he said on Sunday morning.
“In Hume, a man in his 50s, a woman in her 60s, a man in his 70s and a man in his 80s. Elsewhere, a man in his 80s from the Mornington Peninsula, a man in his 80s from Darebin, and a woman in her 80s from Whittlesea.
“Of course we pass on our deepest sympathies and condolences to the family of those people, and their friends. This will be a very difficult time for them.”
