Victoria has recorded 246 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases, taking the total number of active infections in the state to 1,786.
Of Tuesday's cases, the health department said 90 are linked to known cases or outbreaks.
More than 43,000 people came forward for a test in the past 24 hours and 32,300 people were vaccinated.
