NSW Health’s Dr Jeremy McAnulty says there have been 961 new local COVID-19 cases in the state and nine deaths.
“That includes six men and three women,” he said.
“One person was in their 40s, two in the 60s, two in the 70s and four in their 80s.
“Eight people were unvaccinated and one had received one dose of COVID vaccine.
“Three people who died were from south-western Sydney, four from and Western Sydney, one from Sydney’s Inner-West and one was from Sydney’s inner city.
“We extend our deepest sympathy to the family and love ones of those people who have sadly died.”
