New South Wales has recorded no new local coronavirus cases but health officials say they’re still “concerned”.
On Thursday, it was revealed two recent cases - a man from Sydney’s eastern suburbs and his wife - were infected with the same COVID-19 strain as an international traveller who had recently returned from the United States.
The missing epidemiological link between the couple and the traveller remains unclear.
NSW Health has since updated the advice for one restaurant after it emerged as a venue of concern.
The venue is XOPP restaurant in Sydney’s Chinatown.
“NSW Health is concerned that compliance with QR code check-ins at XOPP restaurant was very low, and urges anyone who dined or worked there on Wednesday 28 April from 1.30pm to 2.30pm to get tested immediately and self-isolate until they receive a negative result,” it said.
“This highlights the need for everyone in NSW to check-in and out of every venue you visit, as this allows NSW Health to complete rapid contact tracing when required.”
Those who attended any of the following venues at the times listed are also advised to get tested immediately and self-isolate until a negative result is received:
- XOPP, Haymarket, Wednesday 28 April from 1.30pm to 2.30pm
- Bondi Trattoria, 34 Campbell Parade, Thursday 29 April from 12.45pm to 1.30pm
- Fratelli Fresh, Westfield Sydney, Tuesday 27 April from 1.15pm to 2.15pm
