COVID updates: States implement more travel restrictions after two local COVID cases reported in NSW - ABC Local

Some more quickfire questions

Is the Giants vs Bombers match going ahead this weekend then? If so, are there any restrictions?

-Footy

Yes, it's going ahead - the NSW Premier specified earlier today that the footy is still on, but everyone just needs to make sure they're COVID safe.

The Giants have confirmed that kickoff is slightly later (now at 2:10pm) and you must wear a mask if you're on public transport/are indoors/can't socially distance (so I'd strongly recommend taking one with you) but other than that, not much changes.

Hello it's literally my cousin's wedding tomorrow. i know dancing is allowed for up to 20 people, but will anything else be impacted?

-concerned cousin

Congrats to your cousin!

The 20-person-dancefloor thing is correct - the biggest thing is that the venue needs to have a COVID-safe plan. There's a bunch of technical stuff that goes with that, so I'd recommend (to your cousin) to chat to the organisers/venue and just make sure that the couple and guests are fully aware of what's required of them under that COVID-safe plan.

The Queensland government has announced that any Queenslanders who have been to the hot sites have to go to hotel quarantine? Do the people have to pay since it's mandatory?

-Amanda

If you've been to an exposure site in NSW and are now in Queensland, you need to isolate wherever you're staying/at home and get tested ASAP.

If you arrive in Queensland after 1am tomorrow morning and you've been to an exposure site, you'll need to go into hotel quarantine - which you will need to pay for yourself.

That said, if you've been to an exposure site you shouldn't be travelling anywhere at the moment, you should be isolating where you are.

Adblock test (Why?)
