How to profile your local community - a free session - Mirage News

Data is a powerful tool that helps businesses grow, supports community projects and bolsters grant applications, so Wellington Shire Council’s Community Collaborations Program is offering a free community session on how to use Council’s online data tools.

The two-hour session, co-hosted by .id- the population experts (home.id.com.au), will cover how to use free online social and economic data tools; community demographic characteristics; socio-economic characteristics; and how to access other free resources, including the 2021 Census.

Using statistical data about your local area helps you build community and economic profiles and tell a demographic story, so you can make plans for your business or community organisation with greater confidence.

The session will be held at 6pm on Thursday 6 May at the Port of Sale (Wellington Room), 70 Foster Street, Sale.
